This little trick came from GIS stack exchange. To run a model using only selected features, open your model and in the model builder window right click and select ‘Model Only Tools/Calculate Value’.

How would one apply this trick to multiple feature classes? Does each feature class need its own separate Calculate Value tool or can one Calculate Value tool be used for multiple feature classes? If the latter, how does one separate each feature class in the expression?
