It would be good for credibility to have a statement high in the README about this functionality being included in pip in the future. Something like...

The maintainers of pip would like to merge pipster into pip once pipster has a large user base with stable functionality. Tell your friends to use pipster and report bugs if they arise!

It might also lend credibility to have pipster hosted in PyPA's Github org.
