Thank you for your detailed description.
I assume that the program is now in a state where it does not update your feeds
anymore.
Can you look at the Android-settings->Applications and check the running
processes. There should be one with the rss-icon that indicates sparserss. Are
there 2 services running (RefreshService, FetcherService), or just one
(RefreshService)?

Correct, it is not updating the feeds any more. The last indication of an
automatic update was at 4:06 PM PT yesterday, even though it was not actually
updating at that time.
Both services are running.

The FetcherService should not run all the time. But I do not know, what keeps
it from finishing.
Could you try the attached version (compiled from revision 73)?

It is downloaded to my desktop. How do I get it into the phone? Sorry, this

I figured it out. I downloaded from my phone. Duh! Version 0.7.3 is
installed. I will check out its function later today. Thank you.

I deleted your comment, because there was a full url written.
The behavior has improved, and I will try to resolve the issue with the example.

At 10:28 AM PT today, Thursday, 12-16, I got an audible notification from
Sparse rss. It notified me of "42 new entries." All the news on the four news
feeds I set up that was not coming in when the fetching service was trying
every minute, finally came in all at once.

I notice that some of the feeds that update more infreqently, and with only one
news item at a time are updating correctly and on time at about the same time
as RSSOwl. I will continue to monitor the behavior and report it here.

There was a small issue that prevents the correct date to be parsed. This is
corrected in the attached version. (compiled from revision 74)

I'm also having trouble with feeds not updating. They update in opera mini on
the same android, so it's likely to be sparse rss. I'm using the, latest
version, but started on an old version.I could try clean reinstall, where are
files cached?

Can you try the version from issue 46#c9 (comment 9)?

A fix should be released in version 0.8.5.

Since I could not reproduce this error any more, I consider this as fixed.
Please reopen if you still have trouble updating all feeds.
