If you have downloaded sketchyphysics you get in your desktop a setup icon, if
you
click on the icon sketchyphysics is installed.

and the play icon is above

It won't install automatically if you have sketchup 7. As far as I know, you
should
only use sketchyphysics with sketchup 6 (currently).

You go to view, toolbars, and click the buttons on the second-to-last category

I had the same problem but I found out that, (in my case case at least,) it is
the pc user whom was in error.

If you have had several versions of SketchUp installed in your PC, like
versions 6, 7, and 8 and if for some reason you are using not the latest one
but say 7 instead of 8. During installation if you don't attentively look at
the message box contents you will not notice that setup program will install in
the folder/directory of the latest SketchUp version instead of the one you are
hopping for.

Run again the setup and make sure that the installation is looking into the
right destination.

Best
