How to avoid automatically defining elements? #9

Hi,

When I was brushing the elements, I found that the green-colored elements were always shorter than the duration I brushed. Sometimes the brushed area could not be detected or was automatically split into several elements. I was wondering how can I set parameters to define elements as I hope, instead of being affected by auto-detection.
