I was wondering how you connect the vinyl player to the Pi using bluetooth. Do I have to setup the Pi as an A2DP sink for it to receive the audio first maybe?

I connected as an A2DP sink. The easiest way to start is to configure the pi as an A2DP sink and then to be able to connect to it as a bluetooth speaker from your mobile phone. Once this is working, disconnect the mobile phone and connect the vinyl player.
