Giving gifts is a common diplomatic practice, but gifts given to U.S. federally employees are not usually kept by the recipient, but instead accepted on behalf of the American people and shipped off to the National Archives. All of this information is, by law, recorded and published in the Federal Register. (Example report here.)
Data includes recipient (including the agency they are a part of), donor, date received, (very) detailed gift description, and value in US dollars. Some gifts are small, like toy stuffed kangaroos and koalas from the Australian Prime Minister. Others are large, like a diamond and emerald jewellery set worth $1 million from the King of Saudi Arabia.
