"This dataset aims to provide insight into individuals who were killed during altercations with police. It includes information on their age, race, mental health status, weapons they were armed with, and if they were fleeing."

Hi Jeff - thanks for bringing this data along!

After some internal discussion and consultation with some people of color, we're going to hold on using police datasets due to potential targeted harassment against contributors and learners through TidyTuesday. For now we're focusing on highlighting the achievements of Black Americans, with so far the next two weeks highlighting achievements and history.

I am interested in helping aggregate/prepare AND sharing datasets in the police-area, but we don't feel that TidyTuesday is the appropriate venue for sharing them.
