Hey Christian, as mentioned here I would prefer having a separate section for outside collaborators/contributions that lists packages, not hosted/maintained by RforMassSpectrometry

Sorry to chime in late here. After discussing with R4MS core, I confirm that we do not acknowledge/cite authors of dependencies on the main project's web page. However, I suggest to cite/name the package in the Spectra vignette, as an example of externally developed/maintained backend.
