Some tips and tricks i'm using with pagedown/ rmarkdown template :
sometimes it's easier to use magick to design the background and avoid dealing with multiples images in CSS - see https://github.com/rfortherestofus/colibri/blob/main/inst/assets/title_page_background.R

in this case, you must be careful to scale everything right. I'm setting up parameters at the beginning to ease the changes after - see https://github.com/rfortherestofus/colibri/blob/main/inst/assets/title_page_background.R#L12
you can have some transparent image in png which turn black into jpg - use image_flatten in this case

always use CSS variables and modules organization
