You can use the Cannonball Retroarch core. I set mine up using this libretro instruction. https://docs.libretro.com/library/cannonball/ I downloaded the cannonball.zip with retroarch on my computer, then copied it on the sd-card in SHARE/system/.config/retroarch/downloads/CannonBall. Or you can download it directly :https://buildbot.libretro.com/assets/cores/Cannonball/CannonBall.zip Then copy over the outrun roms to SHARE/system/.config/retroarch/downloads/CannonBall. To start the Core, you must start retroarch, then load content, downloads, cannonball and then select cannonball.game. Or you can overwrite SHARE/system/.simplemenu/games/Cannonball.sh with this file: Cannonball.zip
I've a temporary patch for cannonball standalone controls but it impacts other things. However, as @benni092 mentions we can add the core since the performance is about the same. Will have a look at it and whether it makes sense to include the patch or the core.
What happened?
Steps to reproduce:
I've tried editing
system/configs/cannonball/config.xml
and changing<controls mode = "1">
to<controls mode = "0">
but it doesn't seem to make a difference.Any body got any idea what to try next?
