Shutdown after charging does not actually shutdown #85

What happened?

The new shutdown after charging cable disconnect in 1.0 does not actually shut down the device.

I charged my 35xx, unplugged it, and it displayed that it was shutting down. I did not turn it on after this, I just left it for a few hours. When I went to pick it up to play, it was noticeably warm, and the battery was down to just 15%.

Perhaps this is a board revision specific issue? I don't know what board revision mine is, but if you think it may be related, I can check for you (you'll just have to tell me where to look).

Can you try shutdown via the menu without the cable being connected? just to see if the behavior is the same. There are two different sets of issues here, one is if the actual board is compatible with the shutdown, and another whether the new shutdown after the power cable is removed is working properly.

I suspect the logic for the power cable being removed is working properly since you can see the SHUTDOWN message on the screen, so it's either an issue with that particular revision of the board, or it's a bug if the regular shutdown works fine.

For me the issue is the shutdown when the charging cable is removed. The regular shutdown from menu works fine. But fix please the led indicator when charging because we don't know when the battery is fully charged . Thank you

Sorry for the late reply, tested it yesterday with shutdown from the menu and it was still charged when checked a few hours later.
