Currently, I always need to decide whether to suspend or shut down the device. If I might want to use it within the next hour or so, I'll suspend, otherwise I'll shut down to save battery.
The best of both worlds would be an option that allows the device to shut down automatically if it has been suspended for "x minutes". Not sure if the hardware supports this, but would be a cool feature.
