8bitdo SNPRO 2 not connecting via bluetooth (x input) - running latest 20.02.24, It never connected before on the previous version 13.02.24 either

I have a bunch of SN30 PROs an they all connect fine (x input) - same with my xbox pads

however the 8bitdo SNPRO 2 doesnt seem to want to connect - it will connect and and then you get a message saying something like 'connection failed. Give up'

initially i thought perhaps either the pad or device bluetooths are not compatible however i managed to connect to my rg35xx H which is still on stock firmware

I have the same controller. Was able to connect on both v39 and v40

Man I've tried so many different things - unpaired all bluetooth connections - updated firmware on pad - Tried different input modes - I actually have 2 of these PRO 2 pads and both don't connect with the same issue coming up -- Maybe my RG35xx + is just moving funky

I Tried again last night still couldnt get it to connect - You definitely have the pro 2 and are connecting by bluetooth on xinput?

Its so odd that the little snpro30s and xbox pads connect fine but this one just cant

I just played an hour of Pokémon unbound on the latest build using the controller.

Amazon page of the controller from my order history - https://www.amazon.in/dp/B08XY86472?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Thanks for that insight!

Argh im stumped then, 2 diff controller's 2 diff devices still nothing - Guess ill try to connect again after a few new builds lol

If anyone else has this controller and same issue - post pleasee

okay so i managed to get something going

I had to connect via an OTG cable then when i disconnected it , It just kept working - now it will auto connect when i turn the pad on but if i unpair/forget device then i have to do this all over again lol

the takeaway here is yes it does connect but not as simple as just 'automatically pairing' like i do with my other pads
