Estimating vQTL effects #355

Hello,

From your documentation, I see that HLM is used in the GxE testing framework. I was wondering whether it is possible to estimate variance effects at SNPs without including an environmental covariate? Do you have plans to add more options for estimating vQTL effects (e.g levenes test, or quantile integrated linear regression)?

Hi Chris,

Indeed while the framework to use a HLM is available, it is currently not implemented to scan for vQTL effects. We have planned to add such feature in future releases.

Great, thanks for the quick response! Do you know if this something that will be available soon? I also saw a previous comment asking about repeated measurements gwas. Were there plans to add this as well? Many thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,

There is no tentative date for when this will be added. We don't have plans to look into extensions for repeated measurements for now.
