I use aptitude, apt-cacher-ng and httpredir.debian.org. All package downloads that involve more than a handful of packages and 5-10MB of downloads will eventually see some of the packages failing to download with a "502 connection closed" or "500 connection timeout" error. I will then have to rerun the download for the failed packages again and again until all of them are successfully downloaded (there are always a few of them making it on each run, so I will eventually get all of the debs). It seems that others have similar problems.
