Thanks for this! It works great. One question, could this possibly be built for RP5s as well?

In this repository, no.

Not sure if you are looking for UEFI support in RPI5, if so, there's another repo for that, see https://github.com/pftf/RPi4/issues/243#issuecomment-1877351217.
