Regarding boundaries, 6 years ago, Didg succeeded in automatically constructing boundaries determining areas where the depth was smaller than a value defined by the user. For example, in an area of an S57 chart, we could obtain the highlighting, in the form of a boundary, of all the areas where the depth was less than 6 meters. The user simply had to choose an area of a chart and choose the minimum depth required.
I had the opportunity to test these automatic boundaries with the version of WR from that time:
BUT, it only worked with S57 cards (from SHOM or the USA, for example). This could not work with o-charts vector charts (oeSENC at the time) nor with S63 charts.
If Mr Dave Register could reintroduce this possibility with the o-charts, that would be great.

I tried to contact Didg a few weeks ago about this subject. Failure. I had an email address, but Didg no longer answers it. My last contact was in July 2020. I don't know if Didg gave his work to Mr Sean Depagnier or not.
I had learned, perhaps from BCN (????), that Dave had started, several years ago, working to do the same thing with the oeSENC nautical charts that Didg had done with the S57 charts. In the meantime we have moved to the second form of o-charts charts usable with the o-charts_pi plugin. Where is Dave???? Did he go far enough or, on the contrary, did he stop without convincing results??????
We have to ask Dave. Fingers crossed!
His name is Didier Gautheron I think he may live near Varennes-Vauzelles but I am not sure. He may also use qtVlm. He was wonderfully effective, upgrading weather_routing and grib, and opencpn.
Weather routing has certain settings and constraints. In Edit Weather Routing Configuration we have check boxes for
Describe the solution you'd like Detect land should also have a "Distance from" setting. Add a checkbox for Detect Depth using NOAA ENC charts. So routings will avoid lower depths.
