Hello. Thanks for your efforts. Do you have some plans to re-design your X-2 with some Pico-like boards, they are very cheep and powerful?

I do not have any plans. Feel free to use my Kicad files as inspiration or to get started, if you think that would help.

One of the things that makes the WeAct STM32F411 MiniF4 "Blackpill" development boards suitable for this X-2 / "Lumberjack-style" build is the USB D+/D- pads are exposed on the board. RPi Pico boards (and compatible) have USB D+/D- exposed as TPs. But, it's not so easy to solder to those.

With D+/D- broken out, it's easy to use the USB port on the keyboard PCB, and connect that USB D+/D- to the devboard's USB.

Without D+/D-, it's probably possible to use other pads on the development board, but I've not looked into it too much.

-- That's not really a concern if you just intend to use the development board's USB connector... but, even then, I'd worry about the connector breaking, or not being at the right height compared to a case's wall.
