Reduce audio file size #13

Working on that now.

I've found some compression settings that I can live with:

mp3-export-settings-lofi-1

mp3-export-settings-lofi-2

That reduced a 1.5MB file down to 385KB. While I prefer to hear awesome sounds, it's probably best not to hog resources for the sake of audio snobbery.

Remember that the OGG files are fore browsers that support it. Technically one or the other file type will load depending on what it supports, so the folder/file sizes above are less when page actually loads.

Pushing up new files now.

I'm unable to connect to GitHub from home. I keep getting:

And GitHub for Mac isn't able to connect to GitHub.

I can't seem to figure out what's up.

I don't know what happened, but after 3 hours of Googling I finally found this page:

https://www.digicert.com/digicert-root-certificates.htm

… I had to "download" the "DigiCert High Assurance EV Root CA" and then drag/drop the damn thing into my keychain window to install it (even though Firefox was telling me it was already installed):

What a headache!

Just realized the Miro Video converter is generating huge (compared to MP3 twin) OGG file sizes.

Using Audacity, I'm able to control quality:

I'm gonna use Audacity to generate all the OGG files, which should take down size of project even more.

Oh yah, considerable page size drop now. 16.6MB. That's not bad considering we're preloading all audio.

If we were to compress images a tad, I think we could make things even smaller.

Commit with new OGG files coming shortly.
