You are running Windows 8 which is not supported by BrickStore (Win 10 18.09 is the minimum). Older versions of BrickStore did not enforce this minimum, but this led to very hard to debug problems: see #846
I am running windows 11 not windows 8
Now that's weird ... it "identifies" as Windows 6.2
which is the internal Microsoft version number for Win 8. Let me check on my Win 11 machine...
My Win11 machine also has "Windows 11 Pro" like yours, but it identifies correctly as Windows 11 24H2
and not Windows 6.2
.
I've googled for that problem, and it seems like this might happen due to 2 things:
1) you are running a "Insider Preview"/beta build of Windows
1) you are running BrickStore or the installer in Windows 8 compatibility mode: right click the downloaded installer and/or C:\Program Files\BrickStore\BrickStore.exe
, select Properties
. Then check if compatibility mode is switched on and disable it, if that is the case.
Thanks for tips. I do not know why I have marked "Windows 8 compatibility mode"
