Video file playing too fast #348

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Both video and audio play about 2-3x speed in Windows Media Player with lav
splitter installed. h264 + AAC LC in Mp4 container.

Example file:

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5Ceve8UxR04bWdhNVB6emJfWTA/edit?usp=sharing

(File->Download menu to download the MP4 file)

Version and Media player: LAV Filters 0.56.2, Windows Media Player 12

Seems to run at normal speed in VLC Media Player and Media Player Classic.

Thanks for any help,
Jim

Update on this problem.

I downloaded Win7DSFilterTweaker 5.8 and set ffdshow as the prefered DirectShow
decoder for h264 and AAC. Problem solved. Looks like lavfilter is in the clear
and it's Microsoft Media Foundation on the codec end that takes the rap.

Curious that this also occured on an XP box. Possibly same/similar issue.

Sorry for ringing the bell
