LAV splitter does not connect to other Audio Decoders with AC3 audio #431

Describe the issue you're having:
LAV splitter has issues connecting to other Audio decoders with AC3 Audio.
(Now I know its easy to blame Cyberlink, but I tried with ffdshow aswell.)
I have no issues with TrueHD, DTS-HD, DTS, AAC, or any other format. Just AC3.
And wwwway back it was no issue getting ffdshow to play AC3 and pass the LPCM
along to Cyberlink.

How can the issue be reproduced?
Any file with AC3 Audio should suffice. I managed to do it with multiple MKV
files. Set the merit of the desired decoder higher then LAV Audio decoder.

What version of the product are you using? In which Player?
K-Lite 1034 mega, MPC-HC 1.7.3.45 (7862ae3) with LAV 0.60.1 (But I suspect it
has been an issue for a while)
I am using Cyberlink 13 Audio decoder, for obvious reasons I won't go into
setting this up (in public domain). But like I said it was reproducable with
ffdshow audio decoder.

Please provide any additional information below.
ask away. I wanted to discuss this on Doom9 first, but 5 day waiting period.
An ugly hack some others (and myself) have used with an older version of
Cyberlink is using a different player like KMPLayer and doing an AC3 to DTS
transform.
