Desktop mode + quake mode = impossible to recover #1431

I have enabled desktop mode (which lacks any meaningful explanation of its
purpose) while having quake mode on and now I can't see conemu window or go to
settings to disable it.

There should be some warning before enabling both features, like "Your conemu
window is going to disappear and become irrecoverably useless. Do you want to
continue ? [yes][no]"

Hard to believe. When I check 'Desktop' (and why you are talking about no
explanation? there is tooltip) - Quake is automatically unchecked.

Sorry, I was mistaken about the order - it happened when enabling quake mode
while desktop mode was active. I can reproduce it every time. Doing things in
reverse indeed disables quake mode first.

"Act as part of Windows Desktop" does not tell me much and as far as I can tell
it's only effect is that console disappears completely. Looking at screenshots
page this seems to be something specific to Far ?

Nope. It is ConEmu feature, not related to Far exactly.
ConEmu integrates into Desktop. How this can be reworded, I don't know.
Desktop, yeah, where your icons are. ConEmu window can live there as part of
desktop.

But is it supposed to disappear completely ? Because that's what I get and I'm
not sure how to interact or do anything with ConEmu once in desktop mode.

BTW maybe desktop mode should forcefully enable tray icon so you can still have
some way of interacting with ConEmu.
