CTRL+SHIFT+O/E shortcuts don't work for Cygwin #1494

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
OS version: Win7 Pro SP1 x64
ConEmu version: 140304
Far version (if you are using Far Manager): 3.0.3800.0

CTRL+SHIFT+O/E shortcuts don't work for Cygwin. If I try either shortcut,
nothing happens. These commands work for cmd and notepad++ panes, so this is
specific to Cygwin.

Workaround is to manually create the new pane using Win + W.

Thanks!

1. What do you mean with "cygwin"??
2. Inject ConEmuHk?

1. Cygwin is minty. For example, in my startup task, I have:

>%SystemDrive%\cygwin\bin\mintty.exe -i /Cygwin-Terminal.ico - -cur_console:a
-cur_console:d:C:\Users\jmulcahe

I want to duplicate this window using CTRL+SHIFT+O/E.

2. Yes, I have enabled 'Inject ConEmuHk'

Mintty is NOT a console application.
When you run it in ConEmu, focus has mintty window, but not a ConEmu window.
That means that ConEmu can't process all hotkeys.
You need to put focus to ConEmu before splitting.

How do i change focus to ConEmu, while inside the mintty (which runs in
ConEmu)?
Clicking on the Windowbar, Menubar, Tabbar does not change the focus back to
ConEmu, therefore one has to use the mouse to create a new tab (either splitted
or independent tab) by clicking on the "plus sign"? This is tedious.

@OemerGenc
Do not disable recommended options and hotkeys will be working.
Install keyboard hooks, Win+W, Win+Q
