"Rename" / "MAC comparison failure" errors on Windows 7 #13

I'm running EncFS MP x64 0.99.0, pfm.1.0.0.191 on a Windows 7 PC, latest updates installed. The EncFS Volume is on an external hard drive (L:). Recently, I received a lot of errors as the ones listed below.

Any idea what's going on? The external harddrive seems to be ok in S.M.A.R.T. Windows built-in harddrive tests.

Path is too long, that's why you can't rename. Encfs volume and windows has path length restrictions. So the question is - what happened? Did you do some renaming before this?

Hello, I have the same problem with windows 10 and EncFSMP x64 0.99.1. Yes, this are long paths. At that, I can create or delete the long paths files, but not rename. How can I fix this problem with long paths? This is really awful problem.

Boxcryptor somehow fix this problem, I used one many years on win 7, including long-named files and all were good. It is possible to fix this!
