Adjust analysis to use Goode Homolosine projection #27

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
requires:

new input datasets (mostly done as this is Mike's working projection in arc)
import to new grass location
proj4 trunk installed for goode support
test reverse polygon projection (goode > latlon)

Will require recompilation from proj4 svn trunk. Possibly requiring gdal and
rass reprojection. May need to do this on a few servers so we should test
everything once before we do down this road.

is this going to happen...?
or is it too much work (and too late in the game)...?

this would involve a couple days for matt and another couple days for analisa
and myself i reckon.

Too much work for little benefit - not high enough priority and really only
affects "parameter-less" queries wherein the buffer looks oblong - stick with
Mollweide
