Simplify species input #20

Use tree view but remove the target/penalty sliders going instead for (in 
decreasing order of complexity):

- a single slider
- high/med/low/none 
- checkboxes
- radio buttons

Obviously this will involve some assumptions on our part to guess the users 
intentions as they relate to targets and penalties. 

May be part of an "simple mode" as opposed to the current "expert mode"

More discussion needed.
