Earlier, the /var/log directory was mounted to a separate partition on the same disk as /. This was possible as a custom image was created and space was left allowing for additional partitions / LVs to be created. Now, using images based on the standard OS1* images, there's no space left over on the "main" disk and hence /var/log needs to be moved to the separate volume - if desirable. This issue will be used to implement the needed change to support a separate /var/log.
