Description

Snapchat APK works fine on its own, but after being patched by LSPatch with the SnapEnhance module embedded, it no longer opens. The yellow splash screen appears with the message "Snapchat keeps stopping" giving me the options to force stop it or open App info.

Reproduction steps

  1. Update to Android 15 Beta
  2. Install SnapEnhance
  3. Patch the Snapchat APK
  4. Install the patched APK
  5. Open Snapchat
  6. Observe error

@PicoPlanetDev I mean you are on Beta Version Of Android 15 there gonna be bugs

And it works perfectly On A14 so it might be a A15 Issue

So I am closing this since Your On testing Software

PicoPlanetDev commented 6 months ago

Absolutely! But Android Beta is really for finding those so I thought it best to have it on the radar sooner rather than later as things progress up to the release this fall.

authorisation commented 6 months ago

Low priority for now

Modcal commented 6 months ago

I have the same issue A15 BETA version Snapchat not working

iamkcube commented 6 months ago

I'm on A14 on Evolution X and the same thing is happening to me

VendorAttestation commented 6 months ago

Try this: https://github.com/HSSkyBoy/NPatch

Warning we do not endorse this software DWC could be virus or anything.

LSPatch is discontinued so A15 not working you need a fork

Modcal commented 6 months ago

It was working until last beta update we received two days ago

Yes but if it's related to LSPatch https://github.com/LSPosed/LSPatch Owner has abandoned the project.

Further more if you have logs (logcat) lmk. I can try to relook i tried via pixel no luck.

Modcal commented 6 months ago

That's bad news for the rootless users

I don't know how to get the log I hope the others could share it with you

Are you using official LSPosed?

For me I'm using LSPatch

Are you using official LSPosed?

Nope, just LSPatch. Not sure if that's still an Android version -related issue or not based on this discussion.

LSPosed is broken on Android 14 QPR2 and Android 15. So i think LSPatch too. LS Team is not maintaining anymore. So you can try one of LSPatch forks like NPatch that someone mentioned above.

Also SnapEnhance not supporting Android 15 officially.

PicoPlanetDev commented 6 months ago

Will give that a shot. Apologize for this getting off-topic but do I need to build NPatch myself? I could not for the life of me find a release with binaries

As soon as LSPosed works, SE should work out of the box.

Check the github actions. I tried but it can't even install after patching. INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK: Failed parse during installPackageLI: /data/app/vmdl1557107104.tmp/base.apk (at Binary XML file line #8): Requires development platform 28 but this is a release platform.

LSPatch is now dead if you want to run android 15 Please use this https://github.com/mywalkb/LSPosed_mod And root your device. I tested on Android 15 non root in crashes but Via this LSPosed Fork with root its working

@TheVisual you said lspatch is now dead talking about non root then gave a fork for LSPosed for root 🤦‍♂️

For Non rooted users you can use https://github.com/HSSkyBoy/NPatch

Npatch is a fork of lspatch and supports A15
