Show that a stat needs multiple points. Currently, if you press [+] on a stat while "modifying" the stats it'll sometimes take 2 points. However, this isn't really communicates, only when you haven't got enough points, since then it'll tell you in a popup. My suggestion would be to also show that popup for other stats, regardless whenever you can "get" it or not.
