Suggested posts are appearing in feed. #4

Describe the bug "Suggested for you" posts were being blocked before, but I noticed on 11/14/23 that they are appearing in feed again.

To Reproduce View Facebook feed.

Expected behavior "Suggested for you" posts should not be appearing.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

Additional context Appears to still be blocking suggested reels and sponsored posts. In the extension menu, all three types of posts to block are checked.

Can you please provider the language that you use on the website?

Because apparently they have different layouts for different languages, I am using the English language and everything seems to be working fine.

I am using German usually. I have changed for trial to English (US) and "Suggested for you" posts are still present.

I am also experiencing this. English (UK). I only just installed the extension and it's definitely reduced the number but I am still getting the occasional suggested.

On one refresh, it took more than 10 posts before I would see a suggested. After another refresh, it was the second post. Third refresh, was 14 posts before I saw a suggested.

(Compared to before installation where it would be approximately every 3-5 posts before I saw a suggested)

I am assuming that Facebook has added suggested posts with dynamic selectors.

I will be checking this out and try to find a pattern for these dynamic posts, because for me I am still not getting any suggested nor sponsored posts when using English (US) language. Perhaps using a VPN will help me find the different patterns.

Just please be patient with me as the workload is a bit heavy towards the end of the year and the second I am free i will be looking into this and fixing it.

I can remember that recently I had to accept to use facebook with advertisements or would need to pay. They made this due to some European regulations. Possibly it relates to certain regions bypassing the suggested posts blockage while others not. I just counted how many suggested posts I got displayed. I could count up to 10 in a row until a relevant post was shown. I have no Idea how facebook could be valuable without adblock.

Looks like Facebook meanwhile displays "suggested" posts also without "suggested" mark as well.

Enabling "EasyList – Social Widgets" in uBlock Origin fixes all issues!

So I am back to working and updating the blocker and I am trying to get "suggested" posts but I never get any. I either get sponsored or posts from pages I follow only or "suggested groups" which I also added a filter for, but i never get suggested posts do you guys still get them?

Yes, I am still getting suggested posts both marked as being "suggested for you", and now I am newly getting posts that don't have any kind of tag like that on them but aren't from any pages or groups that I follow, they are just there like a suggested post but without that description. I don't get sponsored posts or reels still.

I also did try what Lotus just mentioned with the uBlock Origin filter but that didn't have any effect for me unfortunately.

I have been trying for hours now, not a single suggested post appeared. I will now try again using a VPN and see how it goes.

Well the latest extension version (9.0.0) has been pushed to the website. the whole code has been refactored for the better I hope. Sadly I could not get Facebook to show me any "Suggested" posts so i just used the previous selector for now and I also added sponsored posts removal from the videos feed.

In my case, using italian, now suggested posts are no longer marked as suggested, but with a "Segui" next to the page title (meaning Follow) so i think they changed the layouto of a suggested post.
