Hi and thanks for this awesome program - which I totally love!

Having a problem where the new version has stopped downloading. It comes up with error report 37818 when i try to resubscribe to my favorite show and simply shuts down after error reporting.

Running windows XP

Be grateful for any support

Thanks

Howard

I've checked out your error report and unfortunately it looks like your Radio Downloader database has become corrupted.

It may be possible to recover at least some of the data, are you a fairly technical sort that could run a few commands against your database, or would you like me to bash something together that you can run more easily?

Aside from fixing your database, Radio Downloader should actually report this as a sensible error message and direct you to a page offering assistance, so have re-purposed this bug as such.

Matt,

Thanks for this.

Not sure on the database stuff - happy to give it a go. I did remove and reinstall the program but that seems to have no effect.

Advice gratefully received

I've quickly bashed something together - not sure how well it will work. It should move your existing database out of the way and attempt to recover the data from it into a new database.

Please let me know what output it produces and what the result is.

Glad that did the trick - did you lose any / all of your downloads, subscriptions, favourites or settings?

Great - okay, will add a link to that utility from the help page I'll be creating for users with a corrupt database.
