[WIP] Version 2.0.x #13

Open ricbra opened 9 years ago

ricbra commented 9 years ago

This PR is a WIP for all the stuff thats required before releasing version 2.0

When 2.0 is released I'm dropping support on 1.0. Unfortunately I shouldn't have tagged it as 1.0.0 at the first place, but these things can't be undone.

Hi, do you have plans for release this? I'm really interested, maybe I can help in some way...

ricbra commented 9 years ago

Hi @joserobleda ,

Caused by a lack of time I'm having a hard time to work on this. As a result of that there is no release schedule or whatsoever. This fall I hope I'll have some more time available so perhaps 2016 Q1 there will be a first alpha release.

If you can write Golang (or are willing to learn) you're welcome to help me. If so, I could create some better issues for all the work that needs to be done.

joserobleda commented 9 years ago

I have no idea about Golang, but I'm going to digg into it and if I feel I'm capable on doing something I'll let you know. Thanks!

Cool, good luck with learning!

Hello,

Have you been able to continue working on the v2.0? Seems a bunch of features could be really useful in this V2 over the V1.

Thanks,

Hi @asvinours

Last weeks I was on holiday, so sorry for the late response. I haven't been working on it recently anymore. Too busy with work and learning new things have distracted me from this project. To be honest I would love to see more people contributing as most of this project is a one man show so far. I'm also using the v1 in production, but because it just works the company doesn't invest any time in it anymore for improvements.

Hi, Would you be able to create tickets of what needs to be done? I would be glad to help you to get this release out. I am not a huge Go developper but I know some basics and I will be ready to learn more. On Sep 13, 2016 14:54, Richard van den Brand notifications@github.com wrote:Hi @asvinours
