consider adding a sharper outline around windows #1

Mac OS uses sharper outlines around windows (darker outline, plus a highlight outline) to give windows a more finished 3d look. image

It may be hard to reproduce the inner highlight/hint outline (except for the titlebar), but you could get closer to Mac OS by making the outer outline darker. You could also make the outline for active windows even darker than for inactive ones, to better distinguish windows.

A good theme to copy here would be Gnome Adwaita, which uses an inner highlight outline in the titlebar and a dark outline around the window:

Very much in favor of that 1px highlight line at the top of the titlebar. Could be solved with gradients maybe?

I actually got the highlight line at the top working for when there's not enough contrast: borderrrrrrrs
