windows defender complains about Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml #1

20241003_010922 I'm trying to flash my el18 but windows defender blocks me from running "Update firmware EL18.exe"

is there alternate way of loading that file?

I've played a little bit, but only luck I had was the buddy.edgetx.org - when the controller is in "RF USB access" buddy's web flasher reads the device (as FRM303 for some reason) and seems ready to flash but it won't accept custom files to load so I can't use it 20241003_025435

dfu-util on linux or the devanlai.github.io/webdfu/dfu-util says "The selected device does not have any USB DFU interfaces"

could you please nudge me in the right direction?

This is the only tools provided for flashing right now. You need to communicate with Flysky bootloader in order to work out the flashing. And I use ESet Anti-virus, it did not report any problems. I bet this is a false positive, as there are quite a lot of reports about this in different forums.

If you are really concern about security, you can put everything required in a VM as a sandbox for flashing.
