Arexx and TED2.1 #23

Hi Richard.

I have got emacs to connect to my real amiga using your great package. Using a telnet workaround (see previous issue).

The very last hurdle I am having problems is with the arexx script that is created in ram: I believe this is designed to work with TED1 which unfortunately always crashes on my amiga 3.2 system. I do not know how to use arexx at all. Can the script be modified to work with TED2.1? I have looked and found some info on the EAB forums. It looks like possibly TED2.1 does not support arexx?

I understand this is a me issue not being able to get TED1 working really, but TED2.1 support would be great.

Hi, I've been running it with Amiblitz 2.3 on an emulated a4000 running wb3.1:

amiblitz-2 3-about

And also Blitz 2.1 on an emulated A1200 (wb3.1)

blitz2 1-a1200

Although I'm afraid I cannot recall exactly where I got these distributions from. I think Amiblitz came from here: http://www.amiforce.de/amiblitz/ab_downloads.php

The Blitz 2.1 distribution is a bugfixed version of what was on the Ultimate Blitz CD. Not sure where I got it from but I have this archive: ubb21plus.zip

Have you definitely got arexx going in workbench? All I have is a line in s-user-startup: SYS:System/rexxmast >nil: That's all I had to do to get it going.
