Just curious, why does create_dd_tree pick a tree from the best [1] 5% percentile? What is the advantage over picking simply the best tree?

BTW, fun fact, kk (used for carrying capacity) in Dutch is an offensive swear word :grinning:

[1] the lowest gamma statistic, that is when the deviation from exponential growth of lineages is biggest
