Hi Rich

This is a great add-on! Any chance of you doing a quick tweak to make it compatible with the Postbox mail app? See here: http://www.postbox-inc.com/extensions

Postbox displays smileys wrongly too, and I've been longing for a solution for a long time...

Carlos, I've added the postbox ID to the install.rdf, but how do you I about distributing this? I imagine that if I update the TB plugin on the addons.mozilla site it'll just work... but since I don't use it, I have no idea.

Rich, it should 'just work' - and then it's probably worth emailing the Postbox team so they can promote it on their page (URL in my comment above) Let me know when you've re-uploaded the patched install.rdf and I will test it for you.

Hi Rich, I saw that you'd pushed your changes live already, so I downloaded and built the latest SmileyFixer.xpi. Just to confirm, sadly, that while it does now install into Postbox, it doesn't seem to do anything unfortunately. :-( Thanks for the speedy addition of the postbox ID though!

Bummer. I imagine that they don't use the same "chrome://messenger/content/messenger.xul" and "chrome://messenger/content/messengercompose/messengercompose.xul" (from chrome.manifest). However as Postbox isn't Free Software and I don't run Windows or Mac anyway I can't really do any more. If you figure it out, I'd incorporate any patches you could send so there aren't needless forks or whatever, but that's about that I'm afraid. Sorry!

Thanks Rich, I'll let you know if I figure it out.
