GWT-EXT is still in use, please do not remove the showcase and forum #385

While I understand that GWT-EXT is no longer active,  there are companies out 
there that do not have the time to port to smartgwt or another library at 
this time. Unfortunately, I find myself in that position.

Why has the showcase been taken down? Why is the forum locked down?

This does not seem right and I hope that you will re-instate both.

GWT-Ext is still available on google code and the entire showcase code is 
available in the distribution. The 
online showcase was just that - a showcase of samples and not a requirement for 
the library to function. You 
are more than welcome to host the showcase on a site of your choosing. 

Regarding the forum shutdown, as noted on the gwt-ext site, the exiting gwt-ext 
google group is going to be 
used instead : http://groups.google.com/group/gwt-ext

Hosting a site, domain registration and renewal has recurring monthly / annual 
costs and I have not seen any 
sponsorship or donation from your company as yet so I'm not sure why you feel 
it is not right? The project 
continues to be hosted on google code with a fully functional google group 
discussion forum.
