With no commit for several months, is this project still under development?

nnako commented 2 years ago

I would be interested to know the plans for this very interesting project. as there is another related project called SciSheets, wouldn't it make sense to think about continuing resp. re-thinking and re-organizing?

@ricklamers @ibadeeCodes : what do you tinink? what are your plans?

If you are looking for a similar active project check out Quadratic.

Thanks @davidkircos but it doesn't look like opensource project like this one

@abubelinha check out the repo, it is opensource https://github.com/quadratichq/quadratic

abubelinha commented 2 years ago

That repo was closed source when I answered. The Quadratic website in your first message was just a big banner saying "You are early". The rest of content looked like a promotional website with enquiries for prospective clients. Somewhere hidden in it I found a link to the repo, which was not public (it was closed source, not open).

So my answer above. Looks like both sites have been modified now. What are your plans about it? Something full-opensource or just some parts of it?

Thanks

Hello:

I just realized this message. Which project would you be referring to?

Respectfully,

Christopher

Hey, I am the lead developer on Quadratic. We have just moved to an MIT license! The project is fully open source, we intend to build a business by hosting for people (in the future). Let me know if you have a chance to check it out. I would love to get your feedback on what we are building!

@davidkircos , your project looks promising but it still in the early stage , i tried it but almost everything is coming soon , just an advice from a dev , you have to introduce a docker image of this , or a docker-compose to make it easier to test locally , and please if you do , try to make the image lean , by using a alpine image , or if it does not work on alpine , i think they have something called slim-ubuntu , i can help the team on this please just provide a contribution steps or something , i am not really familiar with contributing except for answering issues , have a great day (also , sad that this project died )

Almost a year since the last comment. Anyone knows any knews? @ricklamers seems to be very active in other repos.

I know people who would be happy to pay for this if it were maintained and/or developed further.
