FoxReplace substitution list stopped working about a month ago #127

I can't get the FoxReplace substition list to work for the last month or so.
I'm unsure if this is a problem with some Firefox and/or FoxReplace upgrade,
with the shortcut, with my substitution list or with the websites.

I am now running Firefox 23.0.1 with FoxReplace 0.15.0 on a Windows 7 Home
Premium system.

The simple Replace... function works just fine. I've tried to change the
shortcuts around with the Customizable Shortcuts add-on, and it always shows
the shortcut for "Replace with substitution list" with a strikethrough, even
when I see no obvious conflict (I tried to switch F8 and Shift+F8, return to
Shift+F2, Ctrl-Shift+O, Ctrl+Shift+Y, etc.). Neither "Replace with substitution
list" nor "Auto-replace on page load" work from the Firefox menu either.

I use FR mainly on various sites run by Google.

I recently added some place names with diacritical marks to my substitution
list, but FR should handle that?

Any suggestions as to what I can try appreciated!

That's very strange. As a first idea to try to get more info you could turn on
debug in FoxReplace. Go to about:config, filter by foxreplace and set
extensions.foxreplace.debug to true. Now try again the functions that don't
work and maybe it will show an error window. You can also try to restart
Firefox to see if there is an error at the start.

Hello.

I tried turning on debub, but it didn't report anything and it's still not
working. I'm not sure what to try. Maybe roll back the version of FoxReplace or
FireFox or both (maybe there was an update a month or two ago that could have
messed it up?).

Or maybe I could back up my substition list and test with a different/shorter
list, but I'm not entirely sure how to do that.

I hope it's not some "improvement" on the Google Translator Toolkit site that
stops FR from working.

Hi, another thing you can try is to restart Firefox, try one of the things that
don't work and look if there is some error message in the error console
(Firefox menu -> Web Developer -> Error Console). In the error console click
the Errors button to show only the errors.
