I have the same problem with Froyo. Tried with ftp, curlftpfs, Nautilus and
Opera on
Ubuntu. I can list the files on the sdcard, but not in any subdirectory and I
can't
access any files.

have the same problem on a htc legend with 2.1 and mac running cyberduck , the
"/" doesn't work.
I have been using swiftp on a previous legend with no problem..
Original comment by lucas.fr...@gmail.com

I'm also using Cyberduck and fine with FroYo and setting to /
BTW: if you aren't rooted / MAY not work for you. Use a file explorer and find
out the name of the memory storage that is used and replace that in /
May be an issue right now for internal storage phones

Confirming this issue with FroydVillain on HTC Hero.
also confirming workaround with /mnt/sdcard fixes this.
/sdcard is just symlink anyway:
# ls -l /
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 Aug 14 15:15 sdcard -> /mnt/sdcard
Logcat:

With only "/" it works fine, but hope you can fix that.

Will try Google it, but now you know :)

Works with /mnt/sdcard - shouldn't this be handled better? I can imagine only a
small percentage bothering to try to find the fix on this site - the problem
has been around for many months now!
