Hacker UI needs a logo

Hacker is the unbranded design system, however, it still think it could benefit from a logo.

The logo should be:

• simple (almost basic?)
• monochrome

Any takers?

I made a few doodles on my offtime and put this together. Let me know if it is close to the design characteristics you envisioned. I have .ai and .eps copies as well.

@kdavis-ssi thanks for giving this a go! I like your logo however I was thinking a little different though. Here are a bit more requirements. Feel free to take another crack at it if you up for it!

• rounded fonts — for friendliness
• trendy-ish (not sure how else how to explain it lol) — for "modern" in "modern developer"
• simple logomark

Now that I'm thinking about it more, I think it makes sense to only make a logomark (vs a logomark + wordmark) because Hacker UI looks pretty great with system fonts (especially on a mac lol)

Here are some example products/companies who have the "Hacker UI" aesthetic. These tools are definitely marketed towards developers but they're modern and trendy-ish (dare I say).

currently this project is on hiatus though… I got stuck on creating a good CSS-in-JS solution and ended up getting stranded there but I do plan on continuing this project some time early spring. I have big plans but little time 😅
