Victron without ve.bus (again) #25

I have tried to connect my Victron GX for some time now. Now it seems that I have the wrong inverter . I have a Phoenix Inverter (24/3000). It seems that I must have a Multiplus inverter. But why ? I am trying to connect to the GX not primarily to the inverter. Can someone explain this. Is it a design flaw ? In my head it must be possible to connect to the GX without having a multiplus.

I need to enter the value for ve.bus Have I understood it right that if I have the Phoenix inverter then I do not have a value for ve.bus If I have a Multiplus inverte then I have a value for ve.bus If that is right, I am interested to know why. After all I want to connect my Cerbo GX to homey
