Hi,

I wonder why my fave list is suddenly not working. Yesterday, FMD had a problem, something not loading because it was not on my hardware or something. I forgot exactly what. Because I thought that was due to my external hd acting up, I only shut down and restarted my laptop. When I open FMD, it work perfectly but my favorite list are not loading. I tried to restart my laptop and download the newest version, but to no avail. Please tell me what's wrong with this

fave

Thank you!

update: I try to re-add my favorites manually, but when I close and re-open it, my favorite list is empty again

Before closing, backup your works\favorites.db file and try again.

Also, where is your FMD? There is an issue with admin rights it seems. Try using it on D:\ drive or at least on Desktop.

It works! But it means that I have to re-add my entire list. Do you know how to load my previous list? Usually I just copy my favorites.db onto folder works, but then my list is empty in FMD. I'm quite frustrated because I forgot quite a lot of my manga list. Thank you!

Update: Since I have many version of FMDs, I try to copy my favorites.db from a rather old list (from ver 134), and it works too! But why can't I copy the newer list from FMD ver 152?

Update: I try to browse my newest favorites.db (from ver 152) using DB browser for SQlite, but the list is empty. When I open favorites.db from ver 134, the list is there. How can it be? When the size of the empty list is 3.7 MB

It is kinda strange. Can you upload your favorites file?

alexandriatale commented 6 years ago

sorry for the late reply! here is my favorites.db

can you see it? sorry it doesn't support the db files so I compressed it.. I don't know if I'm doing it the right way

favorites.zip

Nope, it is empty. It seems your db file is corrupted at some point.

alexandriatale commented 6 years ago

is it possible to recover it?

You've written this :

When I open favorites.db from ver 134, the list is there.

Try going from that.
