Regular Software Updates #1610

Will FMD be updated regularly from now on, or is the recent activity just another "New Year" fluke like last year and then the development will be go back to hibernation again?

I just wonder if it is worth the effort to switch back to FMD and add all my favorites from my other manga downloaders, or if it would be in vain because of the next developer break...

Just keep an eye, but don't try to switch back. This project gets updates yeah, but don't forget, the main developer has not been here since, i dunno some part of 2017 maybe?

I'm using fmd for 4-5 sites. If those (mainly mangadex) sites are lost/can't be used anymore, i will start to use other apps. I'm lazy to switch until it is not usable.

@ChocolateOtaku I'm kinda looking at FMD alternatives for the same reasons, do you have any pointer? Also any other good source apart from Mangadex? (whenever I Google Mangadex Alternative I only find thread saying Mangadex is the best and the rest is sh*t)

I'm not a hardcore leecher, so i'm fine with my Crunchyroll Manga subscription, for anything else i'm using the Scanlator sites if available in the downloader, or MangaDex.

For software, Hakuneko and HDoujin Downloader are the best alternatives i've seen so far. It seems their developers are active. But, HDoujin has a daily limit without payment. Hakuneko's interface is a little confusing for me.

Edit: It seems HDoujin still have Bato.to, mangadex as mangadex.com etc. I think it's developing is on hiatus.
