We first need to agree on the functions that are required to be implemented, because without these a simulation cannot run. These need to be defined in pseudo-code, writing them in actual languages will only be done after we agree on the functions and their signatures.

Functions I can think of:

[ ] initialise(out: result)
[ ] new_star(in: mass, out: star_index, result)
[ ] evolve_star(in: star_index, time_end, result)
[ ] get_mass(in: star_index, out: mass, result)
[ ] get_age(in: star_index, out: age, result)
