Nicehash - Nexa: unexpected EOF #73

Periodically (1-10 minutes) this error appears and a reconnect to the pool occurs. 2023-06-28_231228

I noticed this too. Nicehash forces the miner to reconnect from time to time for some reason, I'd ask their support on why it's happening.

I think I figured this out, will try to fix it in the next version.

Uptime 1 hour without reconnects. 1 reject (Invalid pool nonce).

Have same problem even rigel 1.6.0

@UselessGuru I only fixed it for nexa and ergo and wasn't aware of it happening on other algorithms. Will fix in the next version.

@UselessGuru could you confirm whether the reconnects are only happening for etchash and not kheavyhash? I fixed it for ethash, but kheavyhash seems to be running fine.

Thanks. I confirm etchash+kheavyhash is broken for Turing GPUs. The next version will have a fix for it.

In my tests ethash+kheavyhash is also broken for Turing GPUs

Yep, internally they're the same algorithm. The fix for etchash will automatically apply to ethash, octa, and flora.

I saw the same page where it says Ethash. But any other page I find for XFL point more towards flora. Would you have any idea how to calculate the XFL DAG size, and do you know of a API to get the current block heigt from (something similar to https://whattomine.com/coins.json, but for XFL?

Flora or XFL (this ticker seems to be for another coin)? Well, the answer is "no" for both, I don't know. When I connect to stratum+tcp://flora.e4pool.com:5656 the miner says epoch 33, DAG size 1.35 GB.

True. I got confused with FlorinCoin (XFL). Ticker for Flora is FLORA. The DAG information for FLORA is listed here: https://minerstat.com/dag-size-calculator

1.6.2 should fix ETC connection issue with nicehash and ETC+KAS crashes
