Updated Readme and added amalgamation folder

I merged in the README updates myself after doing some rewording. And as previously mentioned, I will reject the addition of the amalgamation files as I don't want to be responsible for maintenance of the amalgamation as it is not even the recommended installation option (due to security reasons of potential lack of updates to the amalgamation).
